I was looking back at some pictures and noticed that I forgot to post about our trip to Daddy's deer lease. I am sure as Evan gets older he will make many many more trips to this place.
The first morning we were there it snowed just a little bit. It was Evan's first time in the snow so we had to get our coat and hat on and play just a little bit! As you can tell, he thought it was VERY COLD!
Also, Evan got to go out and help Daddy fill-up some of the deer feeders. He was such a GREAT helper!
On our way to the lease, we stopped by Bass Pro and bought Evan a camo hat. You can't go to the deer lease without your camo!
In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will. Ephesians 1:4-5

We didn't get to see Santa but we did get some really cute pictures of Evan. We hope to go back next week and see if we can't see Santa one evening.

2 Months Old
Evan is two months old today. Eric and I cannot believe how fast he is growing. Yesterday, he went to the doctor for his two month check-up and also received his first round of shots. At his visit, he weighed in at 13 pounds 5 ounces and 23 inches long. The doc said he is VERY healthy.
Before the doctor's visit....I was very happy!
The nurse checks his weight, height, and head circumference.
Dr. Chapman says, "He looks very healthy!"
Before my shots....I didn't stay asleep long!

Trip to the Christmas Tree Farm
Thanksgiving weekend we started a family tradition and took Evan to the Kadee Christmas Tree Farm right outside of Greenville. We had a great time and found a tree that looks PERFECT in our house!
We are looking for the PERFECT tree!

It's a GIRL!
Evan is proud to announce that he is going to have a baby SISTER. Eric, Evan and I went to the doctor this morning and were very excited to find out the baby is going to be a GIRL. The sonogram showed that she is healthy and growing just like she should. We are thrilled it is a girl but more thankful that our baby girl is healthy. Also, the office staff were super glad to see Evan. He was defiantly a hit with all the ladies who work at Dr. Heckman's office.
Our baby girl is due to be born on April 4th and her name will be Eden Michelle.
We are so thankful that Evan and Eden are both doing so well.

Happy 1 month Birthday Evan!
Eric and I can not believe that our little man is one month old today. Here are a few highlights over the last month.
- Weighted 8 pounds 12 ounces at birth and now weights a little over 11 pounds.
- When he can home, he ate 2 to 3 ounces of formula every few hours and now eats about 5 ounces every few hours.
- Sleeps much better- usually sleeps 6 hours when we first put him to bed at night then eats and sleeps 3 to 4 more hours.
- He can pick up his head and turn it from side to side when he is laying on his belly.
- He is focusing on objects that are close to his face and looks at us when we talk to him.
- He can no longer wear newborn diapers and most of his newborn clothes are getting very very tight!
We can't believe that he is growing so fast but are so thankful that our boy is healthy and happy.
We love you Evan!

Evan's Newborn Check-Up
Last Friday, Eric and I took Evan over to the Pediatric Clinic in Mt. Pleasant for his newborn check-up. Eric and I love the doctors at the Clinic in Mt. Pleasant. We both went to the doctor over there when we were children. Our doctor is going to be Dr. Chapman but he was out of the office last Friday so we saw Dr. Kimbell. He and his staff were super great with Evan and Evan was a great patient. When Evan was born, he weighed 8 pounds and 12 ounces. After just one week, he had gained 9 ounces. The doctor said this was great because most newborn babies lose a little weight after they are born. He said he looked and sounded extremely healthy.
Yesterday, I called the clinic to talk to a nurse because I was wondered about how much Evan was eatting. At most feedings, he is eatting between 4 to 5 1/2 ounces. I was afraid that this was too much but kept giving it to him because if not he was just not satified. The nurse asked me if he was spitting up some of his formula or acted liked his tummy was hurting. I told her that he was not having a problem with either those things. She said that it sounded like he was very healty and that I just had a little piglet on my hands. As long as he was not spitting up or having tummy problems I could keep feeding him as much as he wanted. So, since he was weighted over a week ago and is eatting so much, I am sure he has gained several more ounces this week.
Eric and I are so thankful we have such a healthy little eatter.
