EDEN'S ARRIVAL

Today has been a GREAT day all the way around! Mandy had an overall easy and short period of labor that resulted in a healthy beautiful 7 pound 5 ounce baby girl. Mommy is doing well. Evan's little sister has finally arrived! We were blessed with a stream of visiting family and friends that we expect will continue for the next few days. We should remain at the hospital until Saturday. Baylor is a FABULOUS facility with and EXCEPTIONAL staff! Enjoy these few pics. More will come over the next few days!

 

 

 

Here She Comes!

We are heading to the hospital tonight so I can be induced tomorrow. Over the past couple of weeks I have developed a pregnancy rash called PUPPS. The rash has now over taken my entire body. The only way to get the rash to go away and the itching to stop is to have the baby. The doctor wanted to wait till I was 38 weeks which is today so we are in good shape. We have had a sonogram and they say she looks just perfect and expect her to weigh about seven pounds. Hopefully by tomorrow night we will have a sweet little girl. Evan will be very excited to introduce you all to his baby sister.

Evan and Eden's Nursery

We finally have our nursery finished for both babies. Evan has been in the nursery for a little over five months but we now have all of Eden's things ready to go in the room too. Here are a few pictures of the room now that it is finished. We love the way it turned out!


Evan's bed is under their names and was the bed that I had when I was a baby.


Eden's bed in under the tree and was Eric's bed when he was a baby. We had it refinished to match Evan's and it looks Great!


My mom's parents bought us this glider when Evan was born and it is one of my favorite things. So nice to have it when we put Evan to bed at night. I know Eden will love it too.

Lets FISH!

On Sunday, Evan went out in his Grandaddy's boat for the first time and had a blast! He was a trooper and even got to have his picture made with his first FISH! He also did really well wearing his life jacket! We can't wait to get both of the little ones on the boat a lot more this summer. Many more fun times ahead!

Playing in Daddy's Garden

For the past few years Eric and I have had a garden. This year Eric is working really hard to make this the best garden we have ever had. We hope to take some of the vegtables from the garden and make most of Evan's baby food. I hope Eric plants some sweet potatoes since that is our very favorite! On Saturday, while Eric was getting the the rows ready for planting the onions, Evan helped his Daddy out a little and played in the dirt!
