Our Little Fish

Evan loves the water, which is the main reason we chose to go to a water park. Eric and I really think he would live in the water if we would let him. At 1 year of age he jumps off the diving board at Nana and Grandaddy's house, goes under water without fussing and can get himself anywhere in the pool he wants to go without any help! So, to say that he loved Schlitterbahn was an understatement! He would do anything at the park. He went down slides, floated the lazy river and even went on a couple of tubing rides with Eric, Grandpa and I. He had a BLAST!

Bottoms Up!

While visiting Schlitterbahn Water Park

over the 4th of July holiday,

Eden first thought that going down

a water slide would be a pretty cool idea!

But...

when things started to turn around

she decided that going down

with her bottom up

was not the BEST idea!

Water Please!

Whenever it is time to water the flowers,

I always have some very eager helpers.



Who love to stand under the hanging baskets as I water



and drink from the hose when I am done!

Ready for Take-Off

Evan was captivated as he watched the hot air balloon be filled. He would jump nearly each time they pulled the rope and made the flames inside the balloon.

At the end of the video you can hear him talking just a little bit. He is asking Eric if he likes the balloon....his voice is just so sweet!

Fireman to the Rescue!

Last night we went out to the Hot Air Balloon Show here in town. We got there a little early and the balloons were just starting to sit up. We wondered what we would do while we waited because as you know...one year olds are extremely patient! :)

We noticed that the firetruck had pulled up and wondered over to it.

We asked "Fire Jim" and he let us explore the entire truck!



We climbed in and started looking at everything!



We saw all the equipment on the inside!

We sat in the driver's seat and pretended to drive!

We climbed up top and checked out the water controls!

We explored everything!

Thank you to the Fire Department for letting us stop and explore! We had a blast!
